Indictments 2-4-10

The grand jury, which met Dec. 9, returned indictments against seven people.

An indictment means there is probable cause to believe a crime has been committed; guilt or innocence is established later through the trial procedure.

Those indicted were:

• Billy B. Jump, 26, criminal possession of a forged instrument in the first degree.

• Steven V. Hymer, 30, possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense; operating a motor vehicle under the influence, fourth or subsequent offense within a five year period; operating a motor vehicle while license revoked or suspended for driving under the influence, second offense within a five year period; possession of drug paraphernalia, second or subsequent offense; possession of marijuana; failure of owner to maintain required insurance, first offense; and failure to or improper signal and persistent felony offender in the second degree.

• Robert L. Tomlin, 42, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, second or subsequent offense; possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, first offense; operating a motor vehicle while license suspended; failure to maintain required insurance, first offense and persistent felony offender in the first degree.

• Alisha L. Poellnitz, 26, theft by deception over $500.

• Carmen Carolina Ayala, 25, assault in the third degree.

• William K. Glover, 48, burglary in the first degree, wanton endangerment in the first degree; possession of drug paraphernalia, first offense and operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first offense within a five year period.

• Jason R. Ada, 34, rape in the third degree and sodomy in the third degree.
