Indictments 12-17-09

The grand jury, which met Nov. 11, returned indictments against five people.

An indictment means there is probable cause to believe a crime has been committed; guilt or innocence is established later through the trial procedure.

Those indicted were:

• Robert Wayne Mullins, 18, burglary in the first degree, receiving stolen property (firearm), burglary in the second degree and receiving stolen property over $500.

• John W. Price, 18, burglary in the first degree, receiving stolen property (firearm), burglary in the second degree and receiving stolen property over $500.

• Nicholas T. Bishop, 21, burglary in the first degree, receiving stolen property (firearm), burglary in the second degree, receiving stolen property over $500 and criminal attempt to commit burglary.

• Jacob W. Sharp, 19, burglary in the first degree, receiving stolen property (firearm), burglary in the second degree, receiving stolen property over $500 and criminal attempt to commit burglary.

• Jonathan T. Sharp, 19, criminal attempt to commit burglary and for being a persistent felony offender.
