By Bryan Marshall

More than a year after Performance Pipe announced its closure, the building on Helton Road in Williamstown will soon be occupied again.

The facility will be filled with barrels of whiskey and bourbon as MGP Ingredients, Inc. looks to finalize purchase of the property this week.

Founded in Atchison, Kansas, in 1941, MGP today is considered the largest U.S. supplier of rye whiskey, as well as distilled gin, and is a top source of bourbons and vodkas across the country, according to its company history.
