The Grant County Industrial Development Authority does a lot more than people realize, said executive director Wade Gutman.
Gutman is responding to criticism of the IDA during the Nov. 18 Dry Ridge City Council meeting in which the city approved a .75 payroll-tax increase.
When a 1.25 percent payroll tax takes effect on Jan. 1, 2014, employees working in Dry Ridge will be paying: $312.50 if they earn $25,000, $437.50 if they earn $35,000 and $562.50 if they earn $45,000.
