How do you know when you’re in love?

The subject of love or even strong like may make some first grade students  squirm  or even stick out their tongue, but if you want to know an honest answer to a simple question, then ask a child. With Valentine’s Day looming, here are the responses the News staff received from first grade students in Grant County and Williamstown schools.

“I have a girlfriend. She always wants to stand by me.” - Isaiah Whalen

“I have hearts in my head.” - Jackson Stiles

“I am not in love right now, but I know I love my parents.” - Rebekah Turner

“I will date someone and marry them. If they break up, I will have to find someone else.” - Taylor Doss
