Hope in Jesus

-A A +A

In the first verse of the book of Genesis, the first book of the Bible, it says; “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” We must understand that God created our world and created man and woman in his image.  The fact that he is creator reminds us that he is in control of our lives and he is the one we must look to.
In the first book of John, in the first verse, the same words are used,

“In the beginning” John is telling us that in the beginning Jesus was there at creation and was the one who made the heavens and earth.  We are reminded by John, that Jesus is central to our faith and hope.

We worship a triune God (The Trinity); Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  However, what the New Testament has reminds us is that all of history and all the future has one central hope. That hope is Jesus Christ.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (John 3:16-17 ESV)

So a question comes to mind.  Who do you think Jesus is?  What will you do with the reality of Jesus?  Have you realized that Jesus is our only hope?  He is the one who gave his life so that you and I could have life.  We can be forgiven and live a holy life because he died for our sins.  He defeated death through his resurrection and He has promised to return for the church.  A relationship with Jesus Christ will change your life…..period.   So make it a point this week to seek the Lord Jesus and enter in relationship with him.
