Hobbies: I enjoy sewing and reading.
Other clubs/organizations: I am a member of the Kentucky Charolais Association and the American International Charolais Association. I am a member of Sherman Church of Christ and am involved with the women’s group at the church. I also help on the kitchen committee and in October will be a Master Clothing Volunteer.
Years involved in homemakers: Three years
What do you get out of being a member of homemakers: I love the friends that I’ve made and I like to learn new things.
What is the best lesson you’d pass on to other homemakers: I’ve learned to share what you’ve learned with others.
What is the most meaningful homemaker project that you’ve participated in: Making quilts for the Red Cross and making chemo hats for cancer patients.
What is your favorite book: “Gone With the Wind”
What is your favorite song and type of music: I like country music but my favorite song is “Amazing Grace.”
Favorite holiday: Thanksgiving
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why: Ireland - because the pictures are beautiful and the people seem lovely.
Tell one thing about yourself that might surprise your friends and family if they knew: I’m not sure I have any surprises left, but for those who don’t know I can type 85 to 90 words per minutes.
