What do you get out of being a member of homemakers: I have made a lot of friendships through the years and continue to use the skills that I learned from past lessons.
What is the best lesson you’d pass on to other homemakers: You’re never too young or too old to learn. Being a homemaker is the best job ever!
What is the most meaningful homemaker project that you’ve participated in: I’ve enjoyed the walking club. My grandchildren walked with me and our dues went toward ovarian cancer research.
What is your favorite book: The Bible. I find something new in it each time I read it!
What is your favorite song and type of music: “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow” is my favorite song and I like southern gospel music.
Favorite holiday: July 4th. Our family goes to our parents farm on the third and camp out at the creek. We sometimes have four generations. There’s nothing better than coffee, bacon, eggs and toast over a campfire with friends and family.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why: I would love to go to Alaska. I’ve never been that far north and I’ve heard the scenery is beautiful.
Tell one thing about yourself that might surprise your friends and family if they knew: After all the lessons on organization—I never seem to be organized.
