LIGHTS FOR LIFE SET FOR DEC. 8

The St. Elizabeth Healthcare Foundation will hold two special Lights for Life events in December to remember and honor loved ones during the coming holiday season. During the ceremonies, the names of all those being remembered are listed in a special program and read aloud. Anyone may participate by contributing a donation of $25 for the name of each person being honored. The first ceremony will be held at 7 p.m on Dec. 6 at. at St. Pius X Church in Edgewood and the second ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m on Dec. 8. at Williamstown Christian Church in Williamstown.

EXTENSION OFFICE TO HOLD FOOD DRIVE

The Grant County Extension Office is collecting canned and non-perishable items.

Drop off canned food or non perishable items for the community food drive to the extension office, 305 Baton Rouge Road in Williamstown by Dec. 12. The items collected will distribute it to the various food pantry’s in Grant County. For more information call 859-824-3355.

EXTENSION OFFICE TO HOST HOLIDAY SHOW
The Grant County Extension Office is hosting a holiday craft/cooking show on Dec. 8.

Get some great ideas for holiday crafts and simple gifts at the craft show from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 8.

Participants will receive a craft book while supplies last. Bring canned goods to help those in need this holiday season for free admission.

Cookbook author, Maggie Green will present a seasonal cooking show from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 8.

Registration is required. The cost is $10 to the public and is free to paid extension homemaker members. There will be recipe booklets reserved for the first 50 that register. Participants will be able to sample some recipes and be entered for door prizes. Call 859-824-3355 to register.
