Fitzgerald chosen for all-state chorus

Jaclyn Fitzgerald, a fifth grader at Dry Ridge Elementary School, has been chosen for the 2011 All-State Children’s Chorus, the highest level of recognition for vocal music students in the state of Kentucky.
She auditioned a recorded audio and was selected from over 600 entries and she will perform at the annual conference of the Kentucky Music Educator’s Association Feb. 10, at the Galt House in Louisville.
Fitzgerald studies under Jonathan Creech, the music director at Dry Ridge Elementary, and she was also chosen to portray an orphan in the Grant County High School production of “Annie” in April.
