It was a day of many emotions among the hearts and minds of the Braves fans and players. It was a day of spirit, hope and glory. It was a day of anxiety, cheers, sadness, relief, pride and fear. But most of all it was a day of fun and excitement as the Midgets, MIghty Pro and Power House teams from Grant County took the field on Nov. 2 in the Greater North Central Kentucky Youth Football League Superbowl.
This marked the first time three teams from a county earned the right to play in the event.
The Midgets came up just short, with a 18-13 loss to the Bracken County Tigers, bringing their undefeated season to an end.
The Mighty Pro team dominated the field with their solid win of 32-0 over the Bracken County Tigers.
And the Power House team battled up and down the field with the Pendleton County Wildcats. The ball changed hands and direction many times. It was a give and take game that came down to the last two minutes. Pendleton County came up with the win with a score of 6-0.
