Grant Fair gets underway July 26

If you go:

Grant County Fair at the Northern Kentucky Fairgrounds, 115 Baton Rouge Rd., Williamstown. July 26-Aug. 3. Rides open at 6 p.m. nightly beginning July 29. Cost is $10 at the gate. Discount tickets can be purchased for $8 until July 26 at Dry Ridge Toyota, Grant County Deposit banks or Forcht Bank.

Event highlights:


• Demolition Derby/Flat Track Bash, 7 p.m. July 26

• KOI Drag Racing, 7 p.m. July 27

• Miss Grant County Fair Pageant, 8 p.m. July 29

• Craig Ruber Memorial Truck Tractor Pull, 7 p.m. July 30

• Arabian, English Pleasure and Road Horse Show, 6 p.m. July 31

• Kids’ Day Activities, 6 p.m. Aug. 1

• Youth Talent Contest, 7 p.m. Aug. 2

• 4-H/FFA Sale of Champions, 7 p.m. Aug. 3

New this year:

This year, the Family Fun Games will be spread out across three days, 6 p.m. nightly from July 29 to July 31. The entry fee is $10 per team with the team with the most points at the end winning $100. Each team consists of two males and two females, ages 10 and up. Games include Back Seat Driver, Skillet Throwing, Greased Pig and more.
