As far as Bobby Kemper is concerned, the warmer temperatures mean youth baseball is in full swing.
Kemper, the Grant County Youth Baseball League President, said the 2008 season is living up to its expectations and offers a few new wrinkles.
"There are a couple divisions where the teams are up. Overall, our numbers are close to last year," said Kemper.
One of the divisions that has seen an increase in teams is the machine pitch league.
"We had close to 25 6-year-olds request to move up from T-ball to machine pitch," Kemper said.
