For a month, the Grant County High School baseball team listened to its coaching staff about their 15-5 loss to 32nd District and county rival Williamstown.
On May 21, the Braves put an end to all the talk, thumping out nine hits en route to a 9-1 victory over Williamstown in the first round of the 32nd District Tournament. The loss ended the season for the Demons (15-14).
"This is a pretty good win. We wanted to come out and beat them after the last time we played them. We wanted to show them that we were here to win," GCHS second baseman Aaron Goe said.
