Grant County District sends students to KMEA annual conference

Twelve Grant County High School and middle school students including participated in the All-State bands and choirs. Corey Hermens, Casey Hinton, Nikki Wolfe, Elayna Bradley, Amber Hanna and Lucas Hampton were participants for the All-State Band. The All-State Chorus students were Jeremy Dunn, Annelise Kinsey,Alvin Morris, Breanna Neal, Sam Carey-Fulton and Bethany Vance. The selection for the All-State band and chorus took place in November. The final event took place in conjunction with the KMEA Annual Conference in February. Selection for the ensembles not only recognizes each student’s musical achievements thus far, but also provides an opportunity for the students to further develop their skills. While at theconference, students assembled with other top musicians from throughout the state and were challenged to new heights in their musicianship. Dry Ridge Elementary music teacher Jonathan Creech was also invited to present at the KMEA annual conference.
