There is a saying in baseball that solid pitching beats solid hitting.
The Grant County Braves, a member of the Babe Ruth League, proved that adage to be correct. The team was comprised of players from Pendleton County, Grant County and Williamstown.
Riding the arms of three pitchers—Colton Partin, Brandon Holder and Aaron Goethe Braves defeated Gallatin County and Trimble County en route to earning the Babe Ruth League tournament title on June 29 at Gallatin County High School.
