Girl’s soccer wants district title

The Lady Braves defeated Mason County 4-0 in the first round of the 23rd District Tournament Oct. 10 at St. Patrick’s in Maysville.

For senior Kristin Keeton the opportunity to go back in her final season will be heartfelt. Her mother has been battling lymphoma and has only been to a couple of games.

Keeton would like to see the Lady Braves not only make it to regional, but come away as district champs.

“For the past three years we have wanted to get first place and the last three we have gotten second place,” she said. “I would like for us to win districts this year and go to regionals and even win there.”

Grant County defeated St. Patrick 4-0 in the district semi-finals. They will face Walton-Verona in the district championship at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 12.
