‘We Love Japan’ will be held from 5 to 8 p..m April 14 at Grant County High School. This will be an evening of arts and crafts and all of the proceeds will go to the American Red Cross to aid Japan. In addition, the $1 from every ticket sold for the GCHS baseball and softball teams games for that evening will go to the American Red Cross.
Groups/clubs or sports teams are needed to sponsor a craft table. At the craft tables, people can donate a $1 to complete a craft, such as a friendship bracelet, an origami crane, etc. If you cannot sponsor a table, but have odds and ends crafting supplies like yarn, embroidery floss, craft paper or beads, donations would be appreciated. These items may be dropped off in the school library by April 12. If you would like to sponsor a table or donate supplies, call Emily Figueroa Wolfe at 859-824-7161.
The tables will be set up in the parking area between the baseball and the softball fields. In addition, there will be a Silent Auction of student art work. If there is rain (or snow), the activities will be moved inside in the lobby between the gym and the auditorium.
