By Camille McClanahan

Master Gardener instructor Sharon Tepe will demonstrate Seed Starting Basics from 6 to 8 p.m. March 3 at the Grant County Extension Office, 105 Baton Rouge Road in Williamstown.
Tepe, an avid gardener, graduated from the Master Gardener training class at the Civic Garden Center in Cincinnati. The class consisted of 50 hours of classroom training with the topics ranging from botany and soils to pests and diseases and a hosts of other gardening related topics.
“I had gardened for many years prior to taking the class, but it provided a better understanding of growing plants,” Tepe said.
Door prizes and free seeds will be given and seating is limited at the workshop.
“There’s nothing better than gardening on a beautiful day with the birds chirping, a breeze blowing and your hands in the dirt,” Tepe said. “It’s very relaxing and peaceful.”
