-A A +A

The Forever His Senior High Choir from First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange, GA, will perform at Crittenden Baptist Church (CBC) at 7 p.m. Friday, July 1.

With an emphasis on God and country, their program selections include contemporary Christian and patriotic music, including a salute to the armed forces.

The choir is led by Paul E. Blair, a native of Grant County. Blair taught and coached basketball at Crittenden-Mt. Zion School and served as minister of music at CBC, Short Creek Baptist, and Lawrenceville Baptist. At CBC, he served alongside Paul Baxter. Blair and Baxter are currently serving together at First Baptist Church in LaGrange, where Blair is associate pastor and minister of music and Baxter is senior pastor. Blair is also married to the former Sandra Smallwood of Crittenden and is the brother of Barbara Ireland of Corinth.

The Forever His Senior High Choir is composed of high school students, grades 9-12. Every year, the choir travels to a different part of the United States for a week over July 4. They worship and minister in retirement villages, prisons, churches, children’s homes, homeless shelters, Teen Challenge centers and Celebrate Recovery meetings. This year the 30-member choir will tour Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The service at Crittenden Baptist will be the first stop on their tour.
