The Dry Ridge Fire Department will host its second fire symposium featuring two nationally recognized speakers.
This year’s symposium is planned for Jan. 17 and Jan. 18 at Grant County High School.
The cost of the symposium is $75 and includes breakfast and lunch both days.
In order to reduce and possibly eliminate the cost to local volunteer firefighters, sponsors from the community are needed. Businesses, individuals or organizations choosing to sponsor a fire fighter will be recognized on a banner and during the programs.
Anyone wishing to sponsor a firefighter can call Dry Ridge Fire Chief Rob Bruin at 824-9158 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
“Unfortunately the majority of firefighters in Grant County are volunteers and receive little to no compensation for making emergency fire and medical calls and we want to allow them the rare opportunity to attend this type of training at no cost here at home,” Bruin said.
