An Ohio woman was killed when her car went over an embankment and caught fire last week near Corinth.
Karen Simmons, 57, of Anderson Township, was traveling south on Interstate-75 on her way to Berea for a shopping trip.
The wreck occurred at 1 p.m. on Nov. 5 and involved an asphalt truck and a tractor trailer.
Simmons’ 2008 Ford Taurus ended up 500 to 600 feet off the roadway, where it burst into flames sending black plumes of smoke high in the air.
