Dry Ridge to hold tax hearing

-A A +A
By Bryan Marshall

Dry Ridge residents will be paying more in taxes on their real and personal property.

The city council heard the first reading of proposed tax rates Aug. 30 that included a 4-percent increase over the compensating rate.

A required public hearing will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Sept. 16 at the city building to discuss the rates.

After the public hearing, the council will vote on the tax increase during their next scheduled meeting.

Last year’s real property tax rate was 22.2 cents per $100 of assessed value and generated $356,662 in revenue.
