Dry Ridge couple arrested on drug charges

A Dry Ridge couple faces drug charges after several law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at their home Tuesday, Feb. 26.


Michael D. Mason, 43, and his wife, Wendy Alton-Mason, 34 were charged with first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine.)

Kentucky State Police detectives, along with U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Buffalo Trace Task Force, Pendleton County Sheriff Craig Peoples and deputies from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at the couple’s Cherokee Trail residence at 5:50 p.m. Feb. 26.

During the search, drugs, firearms, surveillance equipment, drug paraphernalia and cash was seized by authorities.

The suspects were lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

The case is currently under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
