All season long, the Grant County High School team had heard about how they could not win a district championship, questioned why they were not ranked despite defeating top-ranked teams and held onto a dream.
On May 23, the Braves quieted their detractors and watched a dream become a reality, defeating Simon Kenton 5-4 in the finals of the 32nd District Tournament at Williamstown High School.
"This is an amazing feeling," senior short stop Josh Cummins said.
Senior third baseman Colton Perry echoed Cummins' sentiments.
