A new coach and new players were not enough to lift the Williamstown boys' basketball team past its rival, Grant County, as a horrid shooting night combined with a lax defensive effort were too much for the Demons to overcome, falling 84-57 to the Braves on Dec. 8. The loss was the Demons' sixth consecutive to Grant County.
"Grant was red-hot, they shot well and we couldn't throw it in the ocean tonight. That's the story of this game," Williamstown coach Stacey May said. "We had a bad shooting night, and we did not show up defensively at all."
