The Grant County Detention Center was the temporary home to a death row inmate last week.
Roger Epperson, an inmate at the Eddieville State Prison arrived at the Grant County Detention Center at 1 p.m. on July 5 to be deposed by the Attorney General’s Office. He left Grant County on July 6.
According to a press release issued by Grant County Jailer Terry Peeples, the facility was placed on lockdown while Epperson was in custody there. Peeples, Major Richard Clise, Capt. Mike Webster and Lt. Steven Skinner remained at the jail during Epperson’s stay.
