Corinth man enters guilty plea to manslaughter

The trial in a 2010 shooting death in Owen County has ended with a Corinth man pleading guilty to several charges.

An investigation by Kentucky State Police Post 5 detectives resulted in Christopher Dennis Jr., 72, being charged with killing Ruben Eppele, 30, of Georgetown.

The trial, which began Jan. 16 ended the following day when Dennis, who was charged with murder, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of first-degree manslaughter.

Dennis Jr. also enter a guilty plea to trafficking in marijuana second offense and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Dennis Jr. will serve 10 years in prison on each charge with time running concurrently.
