Corinth will get it’s grocery store back.  That is, once Terry and Linda Allen, owners of Allen’s Country Store get through the legal hoops to rebuild.
The next step is a City Board of Adjustments meeting, which will be held Dec. 13 at the Corinth City Building.

According to Corinth Mayor Billy Hill, the hearing has been requested by the Allen’s concerning their proposal to rebuild the store at the corner of KY 330 and US 25.  They need approval from the city’s BOA in order to take their proposal to rebuild the store to the Grant County Planning Commission.  The store was destroyed by fire on May 15.

In other business, the commission:
    • Approved in lieu of a raise, an annual bonus of $384.00 for City Clerk Tara Wright.
• Was asked by Hill for his annual bonus of $240.36 to be put toward cleaning and refinishing of the floor at the city park building.  An action that is estimated to cost $428 and was approved to be paid.
• Was sworn back into office by Hill. Jenny Dietz, Paige Allen and Donnie Dyer took the oath of office. Ted Fisk was absent from the meeting.• Noted Corinth’s Best Decorated Home or Business competition to be conducted by anonymous person with prizes announced on Dec. 21
