A computer error at the new $15 million sewer plant in Williamstown sent a small amount of sewage into a nearby creek.
“A few fish and crawdads died but there was no danger to our residents,” Mayor Rick Skinner said.
The incident occurred on Friday, June 8.
Skinner said an alarm went off to indicate something was wrong, but when employees checked the system it was working.
“We were told the technician was off on vacation and if the motors were running, we were OK,” Skinner said.
