The Vineyard, Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission Grant County Center and Free Store Food Bank sponsor a mobile food pantry on the first Monday of each month at the Vineyard, next to Tractor Supply, in Williamstown.

Helping Hands, a coalition of local churches in the community, partners with the Free Store Food Bank in Cincinnati, to hold a food distribution day on the third Thursday of each month in Grant County.

Teams for the 2010 Grant County Relay For Life are planning upcoming fundraising events:

• Spring Bucket Raffle

The Farm Credit Services RFL team will be taking $2 donations for the chance to win a spring bucket filled with bird seed, a bird feeder and other spring items at their office, 147 S. Main in Dry Ridge.

• Community Easter Egg Hunt

The Grant Manor RFL team will host an Easter Egg Hunt from 5 to 6 p.m. on March 30. The hunt is free and is open to children 10 and younger. There will be raffles to raise money for the RFL team. For more information call Amanda at 824-7803.

• Scrap Out Cancer

The Adventurous Housewives RFL team will host a scrapbook event from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on April 17 at Twenhofel Middle School, 11846 Taylor Mill Road. The cost is $25 per person and includes a welcome packet, snacks, lunch, door prizes, raffles and make and take. Space is limited. Register by April 3 and receive an extra door prize ticket. Grant County Special Olympics - spring season sports sign-ups - 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 18 at the Williamstown Senior Center located at 400 N. Main Street.

Interested athletes will be registered for track and field and soccer and should attend this sign-up.

Grant County Co-Ed Softball League is now forming. Games will be played on Saturday evenings at Mullins Fields in Williamstown. A co-ed softball tournament will be held on April 10.
