HEALTHCARE: UNDERSTANDING CHANGES- The GFWC/KY Williamstown Woman’s Club will present a program at 6 p.m. on Oct. 14 at the Williamstown High School cafeteria. Experts Tihisha Rawlins, associate state director of Grassroots Initiatives for AARP, Stephanie Langguth, state health assistance program coordinator and attorney for Legal Aid of the Bluegrass and Pat Dressman, human service manager of the Campbell County Fiscal Court will be the panelists. A question and answer session will follow. The public is invited and the event is free, but a donation to the Grant County Animal Shelter is suggested.

HOWLS AND HOUNDS

A dog walk/dog costume contest is planned for Oct. 30 at Grant County Park in Crittenden.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Cost is $10 for one person and one dog. Each additional dog is $5. Costume contest begins at 10 a.m. Categories include Most Boo-Tiful, Most Pet-Trifying, Funkiest Fido and Best Person/Pooch Pair. The one-mile walk begins at 10:30 a.m. All dogs must be health with up-to-date immunizations. The event benefits the Grant County Animal Shelter. For more information call 859-824-9403.
