ARTS

Members of CETA (Community Enrichment Through the Arts) will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Grant County Tourism Commission office in the Dry Ridge Outlet Center.

 

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

• The Grant County Industrial Development Authority will meet at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Chamber of Commerce in Williamstown.

 

CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS

• The Williamstown Main Street Merchants will meet at noon Jan. 8 at the Grant County Chamber of Commerce.  Call meeting facilitator Debbie Stone at 824-7259 for more information.

• The Order of the Eastern Star No. 321 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 8 at Masonic Lodge No. 85 in Williamstown.

COMMUNITY SERVICES

Helping Hands is open from 9 a.m. to noon  Jan. 8 and Jan. 13.  Helping Hands, a coalition of local churches, is located at 214 Barnes Road in Williamstown.  The group’s purpose is to provide emergency help, including food, clothing and furniture, to needy families.

 

EDUCATION

GED studies are offered at the Grant County Adult Education Center, located at 315 School Road (behind Grant County Middle School) Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Call for appointment or information at 823-1341.

• The Grant County Board of Directors will meet at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 12 in the library at 201 Barnes Rd.

• The Grant County Conservation District Board of Supervisors will meet at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Grant County USDA Service Center, 486 Helton Street in Williamstown.

•The Grant County Fiscal Court caucus will meet at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 12.

• The Williamstown City Council caucus will meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 13.

• The Grant County Tourism Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Jan. 14 in the lounge at the Dry Ridge Outlet Mall.

 

HAPPENINGS

Clogging classes will begin at 6 p.m. Jan. 13 at the JMB Center on Taft Highway in Dry Ridge.

SUPPORT GROUPS

• Have you or someone you love been affected by Alzheimer’s? A group is getting together to discuss the emotional impact that this disease has on everyone it touches.
