Grant County Parks, Recreation forming softball leagues
The Grant County Parks and Recreation is now forming softball leagues for men and women. The men’s league will meet on Friday nights and the co-ed league will meet on Saturday nights. For more information, call Ruth at 859-903-9631.
The Grant County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for recipients for the annual awards banquet.

• Volunteer of the Year
• Excellence in Business
• Excellence in Education
A nomination packet is available at the Grant County Chamber of Commerce office at 1505 N. Main, Williamstown, Ky.
Award winners are selected by a panel of judge’s outside the county. Winners will be announced at the annual banquet on April 21 at Williamstown High School.
The deadline to submit a nomination is April 6.

Alzheimer’s Association offers workshop
The Alzheimer’s Association will be offering a free care and support workshop for family caregivers in Grant County later this spring.
The two-part series, with separate topics each day, is planned for 5 to 8 p.m. on March 22 and March 29 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare – Grant County.
This series of educational sessions will provide an opportunity for families to learn and share together in an informal setting.
Topics include the nature and progression of the disease, legal planning for families, changes in communication and behavior and family coping strategies and community resources.
