Chamber of Commerce tees up for annual golf scramble

Feel like some friendly competition on the links?

Know some fellow golfers of varying talent levels?

The Grant County Chamber of Commerce is looking for a few good teams to round out its annual golf scramble at Eagle Creek Country Club.

This year’s outing will begin at 8 a.m. May 11 and will include a meal and awards presentation.

The scramble is open to anyone interested who can come up with a four-person team. Only one player may be an

A player with a handicap between 0-12.

The format is scramble where every player hits a ball; the team selects the best shot and every player hits again from the position of best shot.

Mulligans cost $5 each with a limit of one per player.

“It’s a great day to get to meet your fellow chamber members and enjoy a day of relaxation away from work,” Chamber Executive Director Wade Gutman said.

The event is a fundraiser for the chamber of commerce, but the winners will be awarded prizes for coming home with the lowest score.

The cost is $250 for a foursome and includes green fees, prizes for first and second place, golf carts, door prizes, lunch and closest to the pin prizes.

Sponsors are needed for holes ($100 each) and lunch ($300).
