Mary Butler of Dry Ridge has been named president-elect of the KET Friends Board, a statewide network of volunteers who work to advance KET’s mission in their communities.

Butler has been a Friends Board member since 2009 and served as secretary/treasurer in 2011-12.

Members of the KET Friends Board promote programs and services in their own communities, plan and host special events, and meet several times a year to share ideas for new initiatives. The board includes representatives from each of 35 districts that together cover all 120 Kentucky counties.
