Round up nabs 32 suspects in Grab-A-Lab

Police officers from several agencies were out early on Aug. 27 as they rounded up 32 people suspected of making and selling drugs.

Operation Grab-A-Lab was the culmination of an eight-month undercover investigation in Grant and surrounding counties.

It focused on suspects believed to be trafficking in controlled substances, including prescription pain killers and methamphetamine. Other targets included individuals believed to manufacturing methamphetamine and those illegally distributing precursors.

Police discovered, in the pre-dawn hours, an active meth lab in Pendleton County. Six people were charged in connection with the lab.

Officers from the Kentucky State Police, Dry Ridge and Williamstown police and Grant, Kenton and Pendleton County Sheriff’s deputies served sealed indictments that had been handed down by a Grant County grand jury earlier in the month.

Most of the suspects were lodged in the Grant County Detention Center, while others were housed in Boone County.

Those charged in Operation Grab-A-Lab include:

• Candice D. Saylor, 29, Williamstown – unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – six counts

• Nelson Craig Glacken, 41, Dry Ridge – trafficking in a controlled substance, one count and being a persistent felony offender

• Andrew S. Vice, 19, Williamstown - unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – three counts

• Sterling T. Cole Jr., 29, Falmouth - unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – one count and being a persistent felony offender

• Jimmy L. Hall, 54, Dry Ridge - unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – three counts

• Sheila A. Hall, 43, Dry Ridge - unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – four counts and prescription medication not in the proper container – one count

• Jami A. Jackson, 20, Dry Ridge – trafficking in a controlled substance – one count and unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – two counts

• Amber Work, 25, Falmouth - unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – two counts

• Robert W. Smith, 49, Falmouth - unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – four counts, being a persistent felony offender, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia

• Cody Vice, 18, Williamstown - unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – two counts

• Amberly L. Welch, 23, Dry Ridge - unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – five counts

• Christina C. Beach, 28, Dry Ridge – trafficking in a controlled substance – three counts, unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor – five counts, manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia
