The Grant County Braves traveled to Pendleton County on Feb. 5  to take on the Wildcats.

The Braves beat the Wildcats by a score of 72-48.
Coach Jim Hicks said his team would have to be tough from a mental  and a physical stand point.
“We need to keep Mason Monroe contained and keep him from scoring,” Hicks said.

“We know from the get go we are not going to get any calls our way so we need to play hard.,” he added.

The Braves came out and played hard, controlled the tempo of the game and held Monroe to only 12 points.

Tyler Carr led the Braves with 32 points, followed by Logan Cummins, who was the second higest scorer with 14 points.
The Braves move on to play Lloyd at home Feb. 14 before taking on Williamstown Feb. 18 in the districts.
