The Grant County High School Braves defeated the Owen County Rebels 3-1, at Grant County High School’s newly refurbished field. Junior pitcher Jimmy Goforth struck out six batters, to lead the Braves.

The Grant County High School girls’ track team had their most successful day of the season at Ludlow. Kelli Phillippi led the way by winning the 1,600 meter and 800m races. Angie Adkins won the long jump.

Charles (Scooter) Kinman, a fireballing right hander, tossed the first no hit game ever thrown at Grant County High School, as the Braves defeated Walton 8-1. Kinman struck out 15 of the 24 Bearcats, retiring the last five batters on strikes.
