Blair named LaGrange College’s Wall of Outstanding Alumni

Sandra “Sandy” Smallwood Blair of LaGrange was named to LaGrange College’s Wall of Outstanding Alumni. Blair was a 1999 summa cum laude graduate of LaGrange College with a bachelor of science in nursing and earned a master of science degree in clinical nurse specialist/adult health from Georgia State University in 2001.
She has two master’s certificates- one in gerontology from Georgia State and another in nursing education from Georgia College and State University.
Blair is an associate professor of nursing at LaGrange College. She has served for 20 years as a nurse in intensive care units and medical-surgical areas and six years as child health immunization coordinator for District IV Health Services where she manages a variety of programs with-in a 12-county area.
She has been honored by health care groups for her immunization efforts including awards from the Centers for Disease Control and Georgia Public Health.
Blair is a member of the American Nurses Association, Georgia Nurses Association, National League of Nurses, Georgia Association of Nurse Educators, Georgia Gerontological Society and Georgia Association of School Nurses.
She is married to Paul Blair and they have two sons, Justin Paul and Jamin Baxter Blair.
Blair is the daughter of Ray and Opal Smallwood of Crittenden.
