The ARCA RE/MAX Series invades Kentucky Speedway for the first race of the season on May 10, the Buckle-Up Kentucky 150. The green flag will be dropped at 8 p.m.

The event will feature a pre-race concert with Rissi Palmer.

In addition to the ARCA RE/MAX Series race, Kentucky Speedway will also host an ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series race at 5 p.m.

Last year, Erin Crocker fell five laps short of becoming the first female winner in the series' history.

With six laps remaining, Crocker held the top position only to be passed by eventual winner Erik Darnell. Bobby Santos III placed third, while Scott Lagasse and Chad Blount rounded out the top five.

The race was slowed by six cautions for 45 laps, something that drew the ire of nine-time ARCA Series champ Frank Kimmel.

"It was terrible. I cannot believe we cannot put on a better show. It's unbelievable and disappointing with the cautions. The first run was great, and we had a great race going, but it got worse from there," Kimmell said of the cautions.

Two drivers who will be in the field this year are Justin Allagaier and Patrick Sherltra, both of whom recently tested at the speedway.

"You attack this track as you would anywhere. You come in here with your best equipment intent on being the best you can. I've always loved Kentucky from the first time we raced here. It's been a great racetrack for us. We've had some really good runs and finished fourth a couple of years ago," Allagaier said.

Sherltra said that the track is "aggressive."

Speedway gates will open at 3 p.m., on May 10 with ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series qualifying on the paved quarter-mile track. ARCA RE/MAX Series qualifying follows at 3:30 p.m., and the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series returns for the Kentucky 100" at 5 p.m.

Tickets for the "Drive Smart Buckle-Up Kentucky 150" can be reserved by phone at 888-652-RACE (7223).
