Grant County Cattlemen to hold banquet

The Grant County Cattlemen’s Association is having their Annual Banquet for membership on Dec. 1 at the Grant County Farm Bureau Building. Dues for 2009 will be $15 per producer and an additional $20 to join the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association. A steak dinner will be provided, please call (859) 824-3355 to register.

GCHS to host Holiday Cafe

GCHS will host Holiday Cafe at 6 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the library. There will be a bookfair to purchase books for gifts and to help the school purchase new books. There will also be a student string quartet, a student brass ensemble, a student art show and refreshments prepared by Foods classes. A choral concert will follow at 7 p.m.

SNIP clinic offered at shelter

The Grant County Animal Shelter is working in conjunction with the Kentucky Humane Society to offer a S.N.I.P. (spay/neuter) clinic.

Dogs and cats are transported to Louisville to be spayed or neutered. The cost for the procedure is $65 for dogs and $45 for cats. Vaccinations and other shots are also available for a nominal cost.

Registration for this clinic can be made at the Grant County Animal Shelter on Barnes Road in Williamstown.

The shelter is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The shelter is closed on Sunday and all holidays.
